What was your first Barbie?

The first barbie I ever got was Superstar Barbie as a present from my parents for getting, uh, housetrained. I'm really nostalgic now and I'm acquiring pieces of my childhood back by rebuying my old barbies and Disney Princess dolls on ebay, since my mom threw my old ones away because they were broken, without my permission:-(

The original type. I had some styles later on (including one with 3 wigs - red beehive/blond flip/brunette pageboy), as well as her best friend Midge and her little sister Skipper. I had an original Alan doll as well (Ken's best friend who I believe they married off to Midge later on) but never got a Ken! My mom gave them to my little cousins to play with when I was older, and they destroyed most of them, but my daughter got to play with a few that were spared.

My 1st grade teacher gave me a barbie called Fun Time Barbie. She wore a shiny blue sleeveless shirt and shorts and her shirt had a clock on it. The whole point of the Barbie was to help kids learn to tell time. I had other Barbies before her but I don't remember their names as vividly as that one.

I wasn't a little girl then but in the 70's and I had a kissing barbie. Had some others too but thats the only one that I saved. I still have it packed away somewhere.

My first one was a Malibu(spelling?)Barbie.I don't remember any of the ones you mentioned.I had all of the Rockers,though.Does anyone remember those?And Pink and Pretty,Tracy-but I never had Todd-Jewel Secrets Barbie and Ken...ok,I used the word had.That's misleading.I still have all of them,and I still get one every now and then.I'm sure I have 50 or 60 now.And almost all of them have been opened.Goodness.I loved your question.

i had alot of barbies (they where all hand-me-downs) but i didn't care they where all still in really good shape and most of them had all the peices still!

Bless her heart, it must have been rough being Barbie's little sister!....thankfully, she grew up, got prettier and met Kevin!

I hate barbies now 'cuz.......well.....i am 11 and i feel i am too old for them.

(5-6 of mine were stolen, probably by our servant. that was when i still liked barbies. now i just have 2)

I had Barbie and the rockers (barbie deedee derick and dana) wedding barbie and tropical barbie with the long hair I dont remeber the rest but there was many many more

Honey, the Barbies that I had were probably some of the earliest ones. 1960's. I loved my brothers' cars tracks and their trucks because they were more entertaining. Barbies were OK but there was but so much that you could do with them. They did not have the cool accessories that they have today. Sorry, Barbie was not my favorite toy - too boring.
