Can someone tell me the artist who created "road to emmaus"?

As a child I used to stare into that painting while my mother did my hair. Its a very important piece to me.

It's by the German artist Robert Z鐪塶d, and I think it's from the mid-late 1800s.

Warner Sallman was born in Chicago in 1892. At an early age he showed a talent for drawing and painting and was encouraged by his artistic parents. He was fascinated by all kinds of religious art, such as stained glass windows and paintings of Biblical scenes. The latter greatly influenced the boy both artistically and spiritually.
