Question about how often to get Japanese straightning.?

I got mine done May 7 2007. Right now it is still pretty straight but need an iron to a couple pieces.Not a big deal but dont know if I can go another year.Plus I dont want frizz in the summer.I wonder how they do touching up.My hair is very long.I love the results,The process is just torture.

japanese straightening damages hair greatly. if there only a few spots that need to be straightned then i wouldnt reccomend it. instead, i suggest using a straightner (ADST) opr just simply getting your hair thinned, layerd and maybe shaggy.

I had it done twice, about 2 yrs apart, and won't have it done again. It totally dried out my hair, and it took a few years before it looked healthy %26amp; pretty again. I'm living with the curls - at least my hair looks healthy now!
