I hear a particularly loverly voice or piece of music and the hairs on my arms stand up and I get a tingle down my spine.Celtic music does it a lot to me and the Bagpipes in particular. The odd piece of modern music as well as some classical pieces have the same effect. It's a rather exciting feeling, as if I'm discovering something unique.
Do other people have a strong reaction to certain music?
oh yes.
pianos do this to me.
every time i hear one live i just start crying.
and a recording? it really takes my whole attention and i get the whole hair-sticking-up thing.
it's amazing.
