Same cat question, he likes to swallow EVERYTHING?

This is the same cat with regards to the shoelace question. He is a boy kitten, about 6 months now. He likes to eat anything he can find. Hair on the floor (which causes him later to drag poop around the room and he really thinks I'm playing with him when I'm chasing after him, though I am clean and vacuum daily), pieces of the carpet he manages to pull out of the scratching post (he actually seems to do that on purpose... he'll scratch, then gnaw to see if he got a new piece),... he likes to "deep throat"... any toys with long tails and he just tries to smallow the toy... he go straight for anything long and dangly. Hence the shoelace question too. I spray him with water, do the "NO" thing, threw the questionable "toys" away, hide my shoes, there's nothing on my floor or bottom shelves and he can't get in the trashcan... he's constantly searching for things to eat. HE GETS FED ENOUGH FOOD. How can I get him to stop doing this??????

I agree - he is probably teething and like babies, during teething chewing alleviates the pain. He could also be missing something from his diet that he's trying to get but chances are it's just teething. Spraying anything you don't want chewed with Apple Bitter spray or vinegar and water solution. They don't like the smell or taste.

Have him checked by the vet to see if he missing something from his diet. Sometimes they will do that if they are anemic or if there is a mineral or something like that, that is he is low on.
