My hair is everywhere. In the car, bed, on the table, and my husband found a piece in his food last night. My hair falls out by the handfuls all the time, more so in the shower. I have always had a little come out while taking a shower but never like this. It's crazy. I'm afraid that soon I won't have any hair. I thought maybe it was because my hair was so long (down to my bottom) but I have recently cut it to just past my shoulders. It seems like it's getting worse. Please help me. :(

I think that you should go see a doctor. You never know what deeper issue lies below the surface.

humm..maybe its your shampoo..go to the doctor and see what he/she has to say. they might perscribe you a special shampoo. have you been stressed lately? that could be contributing to it. in the mean time...before you shower message you scalp with come talcom powder and try and wash it as little as possible. and get pleantly of rest!!! hope this helps!!

Hair loss can be due to several different reasons. Stress, medication, hormones, and a few more I can't think of right now. I suggest you call your doctor and have a full blood work up to find out exactly what is going on.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.
Hope this helps.
You are in my prayers.

You could have alopecia, but you also could have another illness that has the 'side effect' of losing hair. GO TO THE DOCTOR and tell him about your hair loss ...get a THOROUGH exam and have blood tests ... wear a 'scarf' when your hair gets too thin to cover your head when you are out, but otherwise keep your head UNCOVERED as much as possible ... also you might talk to a good hairdresser about what you use to wash and condition your hair and learn how to make 'more' of the hair you have left. Do that AFTER you see the doctor, though. I know it's terrible ... I have low thyroid and thought I would go bald before I found out that I have thyroid disease. I still have to 'watch' my hair, but it's better now ... good luck.

I would go to the doctor ASAP. This happened to my mom when she was having thyroid problems. Eventually, they had to remove her thyroid completely and only then did her hair start to grow back.

hair is known to fall out in clumps when a woman has thyroid problems (thyroid is an organ located in your neck which regulates all kinds of hormones), which usually arise during the ages of 18-25...it happened to me and its a scary thing...is your hair also dry? thats another symptom of thyroid problems. you should go to the doctor regardless of what you may speculate it to be, but thyroid problems are a silent killer and often go unknown, so i recommend you get that checked just for your own safety.
